ScoresBeneath your call-sign are three numbers. The blue one to the left is the number of other ships destroyed by you. The red one to the right is the number of ships you've lost. The grey number below these two is the number of bullets you fired that managed to hit anything. It flashes white every time a bullet lands on something, so you can check if your aiming's OK. |

When your ship is struck by a bullet, missile or another ship, the call-sign of the offender is displayed above your own. In this example, Wulf is attacking Blancmange's ship. It could just be friendly fire, but then again, you never know who fired those nasty incoming missiles. |

Distance and Closing SpeedThe blue number at the top is the distance in metres (or kilometres, astronomical units or light-years as appropriate) between your ship and the thing you have targetted. It is the same number below the target box, but it is copied here in case the target happens to be behind you.The white number at the bottom is the closing speed, the rate at which you and the target are coming together. Given the target is 89m away, a closing speed of 14.7m/s means that one second later, the target will be 74.3m away. The time your computer expects you will have before you and the target become very imtimate is shown graphically by the animated yellow arrows. |
