The Joystick

Use the joystick to steer your ship. Remember that pushing the stick forward will make the ship pitch down and pulling it back will make the ship pitch up. Exactly how the ship behaves on left-right joystick movement is determined by the Joystick Mode setting on the FLIGHT PREFERENCES MFD screen:

Roll	Tilts left or right, with no change in direction;
Yaw	Turns left or right much in the same way an automobile world;
Both	Turns and banks at the same time.

Pressing the target select button (left button on joystick) will lock your weapons system onto whatever ship yours was pointing to at the time, so you can keep track of and fire homing missiles at it (right button). Squeeze and hold the trigger to fire a continuous stream of bullets.
