These days one can't fish money out of an ATM without a basic understanding of vector algebra and transformation with matrices. Vector algebra is indispensable when it comes to 3D computer graphicss and simulation. The problem is that most books or magazines are either too verbose or are full of the sort of spectacularly crap diagrams found in Game Developer.
I hope to remedy this with my web pages about this topic. Though those too could do with a few more pretty pictures, At least you won't have to read a dirty great book on Linear Algebra to know enough about vectors and matrices to use them effectively in computer simulations.
The text does assume that you know basic algebra and the typographical convention of sticking two quanities together to imply multiplication.
