What Blancmange Doesn't Get Paid to Do

In short, I spend much of my time doing silly computer stuff. Mmy favourite apps are Delphi 5 and Photoshop 4.

Between October 2006 and December 2007 I've been busy writing a wee web page calendar generator thingy for the local SCA group. I thought it would only take about two weeks. As usual, nothing is as quite as simple as it seems. It's very shiny!

Although programming's a lot of fun, especially in Delphi, it's slow work for me since my eyesight's so bad (from retinal detachment and stuff) I need the 19" monitor and a 4" magnifying glass just to read what I've written.

My other main hobby seems to be playing with Photoshop. It's great fun, especially when you've got the bits to make a great Photoshop machine:

• Photoshop 4.0 or higher;
• The Photoshop 4.0 Wow! Book or whatever version of the book is current;
• A 12"×12" Wacom tablet with the cordless tilt and pressure sensitive stylus;
• A nice 19" monitor to match the tablet;
• Several gigs of hard disk space; and
• At least 128MB of RAM. If you run ICQ at the same time you use Photoshop, then you'll probably want at least 512MB.
